Canavanine in Bulgarian cultivars of alfalfa
The content of this structural analogue of the amino acid arginine was determined in 8 lucerne varieties. Canavanine values ranged from 9 to 12 mg/g dry seed in Pleven 1, Pleven 2, Pleven 6, Pleven 13, Nadezhda 1 and Nadezhda 2 and were 16 mg/g in Ossam and Obneva 10.
