Capacity of high-density lipoprotein for donating apolipoproteins to fat particles in hypertriglyceridemia induced by fat infusion

, : Capacity of high-density lipoprotein for donating apolipoproteins to fat particles in hypertriglyceridemia induced by fat infusion. Nutrition 7(5): 355-357

Acquisition of apolipoproteins C-II (apoCII) and C-III (apoCIII) is essential for the regulation of intravascular metabolism of fat particles (exoTG). The influence of plasma triglyceride (TG) concentration on the capacity of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) for donating apoCII and apoCIII was investigated. A fat emulsion was infused into 6 men at a rate of 0.5 g kg-1 h-1 (priming dose) for 30 min.
