Capsule synthesis and immunity to Cryptococcus neoformans
This review focuses on the contribution of the polysaccharide capsule to the immunobiology of C. neoformans and discusses the importance of this structure for interaction of C. neoformans with phagocytic cells and in the generation of cell-mediated immune responses in the immunocompetent host.
