, : Capture of chromosomal DNA by anti-histone antibodies for PCR. Nucleic Acids Research 19(12): 3459-3459

DNA amplification by using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) on whole blood, without DNA extraction, is unreliable. A method is described in which anti-histone antibodies adsorbed onto a polypropylene tube or polyvinyl microtitre well bind chromatin, and thus chromosomal DNA, from blood.
