Carbohydrate transformations during winged bean germination and early seedling development
The sugars in dry seed of winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus) were made up of glucose, fructose, sucrose, maltose, raffinose, stachyose and verbascose. Changes in these components were evaluated during germination and early seedling development in the dark.
