Delayed stem maturation of grafted plants in soyabean

Delayed stem maturation of grafted plants in soyabean

Japanese Journal of Crop Science 60(3): 453-454

Grafted soyabean plants were grown with all combinations of stocks and scions of Nagahajiro and Hayana No. 1. With scions of Hayana No. 1 flowering was earlier, the number of nodes on the main stem were fewer, the period during which flowers opened was longer and the number of days to maturity was greater than with scions of Nagahajiro. The stock cultivar affected the number of nodes on the main stem.
