Of 330 eggs incubated from fowls treated with triethylene melamine at 0.25 mg/2 kg body weight 4 h before ovulation, 65 hatched. 55 birds were karyotyped at 10-12 wk of age, and 4 were identified as polyploid (3A + ZZW). The polyploid fowls were 21 and 88% heavier than normal and resp. at 30-wk of age.
