Dietary monounsaturated fats and serum HDL

Dietary monounsaturated fats and serum HDL

European Journal of Clinical Nutrition 45(Suppl. 2): 66-69

For 2 months, 12 healthy women were given 4 isoenergetic diets with 30% of energy intake supplied by olive oil, soyabean oil, maize oil or milk fat. Mean basal serum cholesterol was 208+or-36 mg/100 ml and after the respective diets had been taken 215+or-37, 210+or-35, 194+or-23 and 258+or-47 mg/100 ml.
