Dietary pattern and nutrient intake of a group consuming food supplements

At a pharmacy or health food shop in Uppsala, Sweden 34 women, 28 to 53 years old, regularly taking a vitamin or mineral supplement or both usually in order to feel better or compensate for dietary deficiencies and 18 controls were invited to keep an estimated 7-day food record. Only 4 were concluded to have insufficient intake of ascorbic acid or iron.
