Dietary risk factors for primary hepatocellular carcinoma

In this review, environmental factors such as aflatoxins and hepatitis B virus are identified as involved in the aetiology of primary hepatocellular cancer (PHC). In particular, epidemiological surveys have revealed a strong statistical correlation between aflatoxin ingestion and PHC in several areas of Africa and Asia.
