In a dietary supplementation study of 30 subjects with early Alzheimer's disease, 15 received daily evening primrose oil (12 capsules, 500 mg each) plus zinc sulphate (400 mg) plus sodium selenite (2 mg) and 15 received olive oil (12 capsules, 500 mg each). The effects of the supplements in the lipid abnormalities were studied.
