Diethofencarb: a new fungicide for the control of Botrytis cinerea in strawberries

Physico-chemical, toxicological and ecological characteristics of diethofencarb, a new phenylcarbamate fungicide developed by Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd., are given. In vitro, diethofencarb was active against B. cinerea isolates with resistance to carbendazim or vinclozolin; diethofencarb did not control isolates susceptible to carbendazim.
