The subdivision of bread wheat into 2 main groups, the Chinese Spring (CS) and Cheyenne (CNN) types, on the basis of the electrophoretic pattern of the GliD1-coded omega gliadins was corroborated by the low variation at the tightly linked locus Glu-D3 in different CS and CNN type cultivars.
