Differences in performance traits between the populations of pigs used in the production of terminal crossbreds

Data were evaluated for 11 639 pigs sired by 1097 boars. For Czech Improved White (CIW), Landrace, Prestice, Duroc, Hampshire, CIW X Landrace, Sl 98 (Duroc X Belgian Landrace) and Sl 96 (Hampshire X Belgian Landrace) pigs, daily gain averaged 767, 764, 739, 756, 749, 742, 794 and 782 g resp., and the percentage of primal cuts 49.0, 49.3, 47.0, 49.9, 51.2, 54.0, 51.1 and 51.8.
