Differences in requirements for composition of the medium for in vitro pollen germination in some varieties of Brassica napus

Variation in the composition of the medium for pollen germination in 5 swede rape varieties was studied. The optimum composition of the medium depended on genotype. Addition of polyethylene glycol to the medium (optimum concentration 20%) stimulated pollen germination and tube growth.
