Different forms of sulphur and their contents in various soils of Haryana



Crop Research 3(1): 27-34



Analysis of 58 samples (desert soils, serozems, arid brown soils, reddish chestnut soil and tropical brown soils) representing different agro-climatic conditions of Haryana, India, showed that total S increased from 78,5 to 220 ppm and 112.1 to 255 ppm in the surface and subsurface soil, resp. Nearly 8, 25 and 67% of the total S were present in extractable, organic and non-sulfate inorganic forms, resp.
