Different lots of bovine serine albumin inhibit or stimulate in vitro development of hamster embryos

Different lots of bovine serine albumin inhibit or stimulate in vitro development of hamster embryos

In Vitro Cellular and Developmental Biology 28A(3): 154-156

Two-cell hamster embryos, collected 32 h after egg activation, were cultured in Hamster Embryo Culture medium under a silicone oil overlay in an atmosphere of 10% CO2, 10% O2, 80% N2 at 37.5 degrees C for 72 h, bovine serum albumin (BSA) from 4 commercial batches being added to separate batches of ova, or no BSA was added. The experiment was carried out 4 times, and there were 102-108 embryos per treatment.
