Different rejection rate of parental H-Y allografts transplanted to F1 females

Different rejection rate of parental H-Y allografts transplanted to F1 females

Periodicum Biologorum 92(1): 161-162

C57BL (H-2b) reject H-Y allografts, and are considered responders, whilst CBA and C3H (H-2k) usually accept H-Y allografts, and are considered non-responders. F1 resulting from crosses of C57BL mice with a non-responder H-2k strain reject 1st-set H-Y allografts from both parent strains and from F1 though some H-2b/k reject H-2k skin grafts more rapidly than H-2b skin grafts. The present work sought to explain this paradoxical pattern of response.
