A laboratory experiment was carried out to determine the effect of gamma radiation treatment (50, 100, 150, 200 or 250 Gr) of eggs or adults of Sitotroga cerealella on the development of Trichogramma evanescens subsequently parasitising the treated eggs or the eggs from treated adults. Eggs of S. cerealella that had been treated with various doses of radiation hatched in 0-21.8% of cases (with mortality increasing with increasing dose), as compared with 94.10-95.7% of untreated eggs.
