Differential freeze-related mortality in feral populations of introduced veronicellid slugs in extreme southern Texas

Differential freeze-related mortality in feral populations of introduced veronicellid slugs in extreme southern Texas

Southwestern Naturalist 35(1): 94-95

Record-breaking low temperatures (as low as - 6. 7 degrees C and below -3.3 degrees C for >27 h) in southern Texas in December 1983 were accompanied by mortalities of about 95, 82.4 and 25.5% in the introduced gastropods Laevicaulis alte, Sarasinula plebeia and Angustipes ameghini, resp., in the field.
