Differential response of chickpea to grey mould



Indian Phytopathology 42(2): 265-268



The 6 strains of Botrytis cinerea isolated from infected chickpea (Cicer arietinum) plants collected from different locations in India were classified into 5 pathotypes on the basis of their disease reaction on a set of 5 Cicer arietinum differential genotypes. Sporulating strains B1 and B2 showed similar disease reaction on all differentials and thus were regarded as a single pathotype but they could be differentiated from other strains on BG 256 and RSG 3.
