Differential saturation-electroantennogram (DS-EAG) in response to synthetic periplanones in Periplaneta americana

Differential saturation-electroantennogram (DS-EAG) in response to synthetic periplanones in Periplaneta americana

Applied Entomology and Zoology 26(3): 400-403

When an antenna of a male of P. americana was stimulated by periplanone-A (PA) and periplanone-B (PB), the percent interaction of PB with the receptors for PA (which indicated effect of adaptation with PB for receptors responding to PA) was 27.6%, while the percent interaction of PA with the receptors for PB was 23.1%. PB thus evoked a remarkable response in antennae saturated with PA, and PA also caused a clear response after antennal saturation with PB.
