EMS and HZ induced variability for days to flowering in mungbean

Vigna radiata seeds pre-soaked for 9 h in distilled water were treated with 0.02-0.4% HZ (hydrazine hydrate) or 0.2-0.4% EMS (ethyl methanesulfonate) aqueous solutions for 6 h. Results from the M2 generation indicated that HZ promoted lateness whereas EMS tended to reduce lateness.
