In field trials in 1986-87 on clay soil the effects of sowing on 15 or 25 Jan. or 4 Feb. and irrigation at critical growth stages, at 10 d intervals, at 75 mm cumulative pan evaporation or at 50% depletion of available soil moisture (approx. 8, 12, 15 or 16 irrigations, resp.) on yield and yield attributes of groundnuts SB-XI were studied.
