Effect of exogenous plant hormones on rapid multiplication of Ziziphus jujuba test-tube plants

Effect of exogenous plant hormones on rapid multiplication of Ziziphus jujuba test-tube plants

Journal of Fruit Science 7(4): 231-233

Benzyladenine and IBA alone and in combination were added to MS medium on which stem segments of Z. jujuba lines A17, A27 and A80 were cultured. Benzyladenine promoted bud differentiation and IBA promoted root growth. The highest percentage of clustered buds was obtained with 1 mg benzyladenine/litre (66.7%) and of root growth with 0.4 mg IBA/litre (75.9%).
