4 Japanese goats were given diets containing 39 (RS 39) or 65% (RS 65) rice straw (on a DM basis) at low or high intake (95 or 190% of maintenance level, respectively). Total digestible nutrient (TDN) value and metabolizability of the diets were decreased by increased feed intake (P<0.05).
