The effects of feeding castrated male and female piglets during weaning from 10 to 15 kg liveweight on standard feeds based on maize in liquid form (2.5 to 3.0 litres water/kg feed) were studied in 3 randomized block experiments. In 2 trials liquid feeding was compared with pellets and in a 3rd, continued to the end of fattening (25 kg), with dry meal and pellets.
