Effect of fractions of humic compounds in soil microflora

Effect of fractions of humic compounds in soil microflora

Microbiology New York 59(1): 63-67

The effect of various fractions of humic compounds (including fulvic acids and humic acids) on soil microflora was determined on the basis of the number of viable cells (number of colonies forming) and rate of CO2 evolution. The physiological effect of various fractions of humic compounds was most pronounced in the presence of easily metabolizable substrate (glucose).
