Effect of fungicides against sorghum downy mildew in Tamil Nadu

Of 8 seed treatments tested against this disease, caused by Peronosclerospora sorghi, metalaxyl (0.2% a.i.), metalaxyl-ziram (0.2% a.i.) and carboxin (0.1% a.i.) gave good protection against conidial and oospore infection but reduced seed germination.
