Advances in Plant Sciences 4(1): 61-67

The effects of Dithane M45 and Bavistin on soil respiration and microbial biomass were monitored at normal (N) and 10 times normal (10N) recommended doses (2500 and 25 000 p.p.m. and 500 and 5000 p.p.m. for mancozeb and carbendazim, respectively). Soil respiration was measured by titration and the results revealed that under unflooded soil conditions mancozeb treated soil showed a decline in activity during the initial observations compared with the control.
