Effect of growth regulator regimes and cultivar on femaleness and compactness of watermelon plants in the greenhouse

Effect of growth regulator regimes and cultivar on femaleness and compactness of watermelon plants in the greenhouse

Plant Growth Regulator Society of America Quarterly 18(4): 177-186

Of the 6 plant growth regulators (silver nitrate, B-9 CCC ethylene, GA and IBA) applied separately or in combination to watermelon plants when at least 2 true leaves had fully expanded, silver nitrate alone or combinations containing it, increased femaleness (number of female flowers/total number of flowers) at least twice as much as any of the other treatments.
