In laboratory experiments with groundnuts, increasing salinity levels (0, 4, 9 and 14 mmho/cm) decreased germination from 90 to 80, 80 to 54 and 87 to 49% and decreased seedling DW from 7.9 to 6.1, 7.6 to 5.5 and 7.0 to 5.0 g in TMV-2, Robout 33-1 and JL 21, respectively.
