Effect of season on the vegetative and reproductive attributes of guava fruits cv. Sardar

Effect of season on the vegetative and reproductive attributes of guava fruits cv. Sardar

Indian Journal of Horticulture 48(2): 100-104

A study was carried out on 5-year-old trees of guava Sardar under eastern Uttar Pradesh conditions during 1986-89. Observations were made for the 3 cropping seasons (rainy, winter, spring; resulting from flowering in the summer, rainy and autumn seasons, respectively) each year. The greatest growth and highest percentage fruit set (68-73%) were obtained in the spring cropping season following the autumn flowering period.
