Effect of the interstock PB-9 on the growth and productivity of apple trees

Trials from 1983 to 1989 were carried out with Jonathan, McIntosh, Calville Donetskii and James Grieve trees grafted on Antonovka Obyknovennaya rootstocks with PB-9 as the dwarfing interstock. The trees were planted in 1981 at 6 x 4 m. Trees without the interstock were the controls. Data are tabulated on tree height, trunk diameter, shoot length, crown diameter and yields between 1983 and 1989.
