Effects of plant growth regulators on callus formation and organogenesis from the shoot-tip cultures of five turfgrass species

Surface sterilized seeds of Korean lawngrass (Zoysia japonica), Z. koreana, creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris) Penncross, bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) Arizona Common and Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) Newport were germinated in vitro. Shoot tips 3-4 mm long were excised and cultured on MS medium supplemented with sucrose at 30 g/litre and containing varying concentrations of auxins.
