Abstract
In field trials the effects of 0, 30, 60, 90 or 120 kg N/ha per cut and 3, 4, 5 or 6 cuts/year on yields of grasslands containing Arrhenatherum elatius, Trisetum flavescens, Dactylis glomerata, Festuca pratensis, Phleum pratense, Poa pratensis, F. rubra, Trifolium repens, T. pratense, T. hybridum and Lotus corniculatus were studied. Av. DM yields with only P and K fertilizers were 4.0-7.6 t/ha within all the cutting regimes, 60 kg N/ha per cut was the most efficient application rate.
