Acta Medica Veterinaria 36(4): 347-357

Electrocardiograms of buffaloes of various ages

Of the 45 female buffaloes examined with standard limb leads (I, II and III) and augmented unipolar leads (aVR, aVL and aVF), 11 were 7-30 days (group 1), 8 were 2-4 months (2), 10 were 5-6 months (3), 7 were 7-12 months (4) and 9 were 2-3 years of age (5). In lead II the common findings were P waves with positive polarity and ventricular complexes with negative polarity. The Q and T waves always had a high voltage (up to -1.1 and +0.9 mV, respectively).
