Electrochemistry of tropical soils with variable charge. I Influence of organic matter on the equilibrium time for determination of the potentiometric titration curves

Electrochemistry of tropical soils with variable charge. I Influence of organic matter on the equilibrium time for determination of the potentiometric titration curves

Revista Brasileira de Ciencia do Solo 14(1): 7-11

The effects of organic matter on the equilibrium time in the determination of the point of zero charge were studied, using samples of the A1, A3 and B2 horizons of a Red Yellow Latosol (Ferralsol) containing 3.77, 2.73 and 0.59% organic C resp. The samples were placed in 1, 10-1, 10-2 and 10-3 M NaCl solutions and equilibrium times of 6, 24, 72 and 168 h were tested.
