Electronic impact pendulum for the estimation of potato tuber resistance to damage

This device was tested on potato varieties grown in the former German Democratic Republic. Karat, Karlena N, Libana and Beli had excellent tuber resistance to bruising. Differences in bruising resistance were found for Adretta grown at different sites. Temperature also had a significant effect.
