Environmental factors affecting control of Macrophomina phaseolina by fungicides on mung bean

In in vitro tests the fungus showed max. mycelial growth and virulence at 30-35 degrees C and within this temp. range phenylmercury acetate, thiram and captafol were most toxic. In contrast, carbendazim and thiophanate-methyl were most toxic at 15-20 degrees. All fungicides except captafol were most toxic at neutral to alkaline pHs.
