Extreme resistance to infection by potato virus X in genotypes of wild tuber-bearing Solanum species

Clones derived from 31 different accessions (19 of Argentine origin) belonging to 8 Solanum species were screened for resistance to infection by potato X potexvirus str. cp (PXVpc) by mechanical inoculation of plantlets that had been micropropagated in vitro.
