After i.m. injection of a modified live virus vaccine containing the Begonia strain, its non-pathogenicity, seroconversion capacity and non-induction of antibodies to the gI determinant were demonstrated in groups of 10-20 experimental sows, gilts and young pigs and also in a trial on a farm with 300 sows.
