The clinical course, antifungal therapy and outcome are reported in 3 episodes of fungal peritonitis in 3 patients on CAPD. The yeasts isolated were Candida parapsilosis in 2 cases and Hansenula anomala in the other case. Prior to the onset of fungal peritonitis, all the patients had one or more episodes of bacterial infections which had been treated with antibiotics. The Tenckhoff catheter was removed in all the patients and they were transferred to interim haemodialysis.
