Genetic effects induced in maize by exogenous DNA and pollen irradiated with gamma rays

Genetic effects induced in maize by exogenous DNA and pollen irradiated with gamma rays

Eksperimental' naya genetika rastenii v uskorenii selektsionnogo protsessa: 18-27

A brief review is presented of genetic transformation using plasmid and total DNA, including the use of pollen as a vector. Information is given on the mutagenic activity of exogenous DNA from wild relatives of maize, viz. Coix lacryma-jobi and Zea mexicana.
