Influence of long term fertilizers with nitrogen and phosphorus on some soil fertility indices

At Turda in 1975-86 in a soyabean/wheat/maize/wheat/sugarbeet rotation, 0-120 kg N/ha was applied to wheat after soyabeans, 0-160 kg N/ha to wheat after maize and 0-220 kg N/ha to maize + 0-160 kg P2O5 ha. Soil pH decreased with increase in NP rates. P applied at rates which did not exceed P consumption within the crop affected the accumulation of mobile phosphates in the soil. In a soil well supplied with K, mobile K in the soil decreased with increase in NP rate.
