Iyokan (Citrus iyo hort. ex Tanaka) storage house with air circulating unit

Iyokan (Citrus iyo hort. ex Tanaka) storage house with air circulating unit

Mathematical and control applications in agriculture and horticulture Proceedings of the IFAC/ISHS workshop held in Matsuyama, Japan, 30 September 3 October 1991: 201-206

Iyokans are stored after harvest, which lasts from mid-December to early January. Air in a normal temp. store is changed frequently for 2 weeks prior to storage with natural or forced ventilation. An air circulation unit was designed for citrus stores and found to be suitable for practical applications. Its effects were demonstrated by measuring vertical temp. distribution in a store with a simple ventilator.
