In a field experiment in 1979-85 at Sardar Krushinagar, Gujarat P. glaucum BJ104 was grown in the kharif (monsoon) season followed by wheat Lok 1 in the rabi (winter) season on sandy loam soil with 193 kg N, 23 kg P2O5 and 287 kg K2O in the soil at the beginning of the experiment. Both crops were given 40, 80 or 120 kg N, 0, 40 or 80 kg P and 0 or 40 kg K/ha. Application of N increased P. glaucum grain yields consistently.
