Major factors influencing catches of codling moths in pheromone traps

The effects of different factors on catches of the codling moth in pheromone traps is discussed and analysed with reference to the literature. A bait containing about 1 mg standard synthetic attractant on a rubber substrate shows the greatest stability. Specific brands of adhesive are recommended to be used in different climatic zones. The Atrakon A delta-shaped trap is the most effective and convenient.
