New approaches to phosphorus fertilization

Phosphorus requirements for sustainable agriculture in Asia and Oceania Proceedings of a symposium, 6-10 March 1989: 125-142
New approaches to phosphorus fertilization
The agronomic value of phosphate rock depends not only on the chemistry of the rock but also on soil pH, rhizosphere pH, and the pattern of P demands of the cropping schedule. The co-granulation of phosphate rock with elemental S or ammonium fertilizer, composting it with organic wastes, and partial acidulation can all increase agronomic value.
