Synthesis of proteins with MW of 16.5, 66 and 80 kDa (which were also present in non-infected root cytosol) was blocked in the cytoplasm of effective nodules during formation of the symbiotic system in Lupinus luteus, while nodulins with MW of 12.5, 15.5, 36, 38 and 87 kDa appeared. A specific nodulin with MW of 33 kDa was found in the peribacteroid space of both effective and ineffective nodules.
